If Microsoft Outlook is generating errors, or you are unable to access certain emails you could try running a recovery program on the data. With Outlook comes a program called Scanpst, which you can find by going to your start menu, find, files or folders, and entering scanpst in the named field and searching on the C drive. This will generate a few results, the one that you want having an icon of a broken envelope - if you right click on this, and select create shortcut (agree to this being placed on the desktop), you will then have an icon to run this program from.
Ensure that Outlook is completely closed then double click on the scanpst icon, and you will be asked what file you want to scan - select the browse button and select the C drive and the windows directory. Scroll to the very right of this directory and you will see a file entitled outlook.pst - highlight this and click open, which will return you to the inbox repair tool window. Click start and let it do its thing. It may prompt you at the end if it needs to repair anything - agree to this if so. When complete restart your machine.
All should now be sorted and you may once again access Outlook.
